Quick update to post some long due news about the Witch. She was lifted out of the water in April for a much needed maintenance and is currently standing on a cradle in a boatyard in Cornwall while we carry out repair work.
A lot of wood sanding, treating, paiting and varnishing has been done already and more is yet to come. The hull still needs polishing and anti-fouling below the water line, but perhaps the most important fitting will be a new folding propeller to replace the old one which had its days and is beyond safe.
All these should come into place in the next couple of weeks and she’s expected to go back in sometime in June for the start of a new belated sailing season. Hooray!
