Portland Bill – Dartmouth – Salcombe – Plymouth

Hey there! Just some lines to keep you up to date…

We’ve been a lot on the water in the last days.
Went from Weymouth to Portland where we stayed for one night.

We rounded Portland Bill and headed towards Dartmouth where we arrived at three o’clock in the night. Sailing at night with decent wind is wonderful! Just the sound of the water floating along the hull, the moon lighting the water…

The next day we went on towards Salcombe where we stayed for one night.
Both Salcombe and Dartmouth are beautiful towns and we enjoyed our short stays there a lot!
In Salcombe we stayed on a detached pontoon and to use the facilities we had to go by dinghy to an old barge that was used for charity sailing trainings for kids. It was fully equiped with kitchen, toilets, showers, washing machines, etc.

From Salcombe we then started off towards Plymouth.
We had a good sailing with sufficient winds (W, approx. 4 Bft) and sailed almost into the marina all throughout the outer harbour and the channel leading to Mayflower Marina.

We stayed in Mayflower Marina for one night and moved to Sutton Harbour Marina yesterday.
A good friend of us arrived here yesterday for enjoying a nice weekend sailing with us.
Welcome Norbert!

Stay tuned!
