Today we sailed from Brighton to Portsmouth (Gosport Marina).
Starting with a butterfly and the help of the engine we made some miles before the wind freshened up and we could finally continue without diesel horsepowers.
We passed the Looe Channel in front of Selsey Bill and since we were sailing in calm weather passing Selsey Bill was easy.
After passing Hayling Island we eventually reached Portsmouth/Gosport within daylight.
The depth in the marina was just sufficient for the White Witch to enter and dock safely.
Unfortunately Gosport Marina is one of the dreadful “Premier Marinas” which are ridiculously expensive and usually crowded. Hopefully we don’t have to stay here for very long.
Stay tuned!
