Well, it was a tiring day. No (!) wind and all the way motoring. Passing the Maasgeul was interesting and required some attention but apart from that there is nothing much to tell… We believe that the regatta (North Sea Race) must have either been cancelled or it must have been very boring. We saw all the Read More

From Scheveningen to Stellendam
Almost no wind at all! We tried to set the sails several times but in the end we motored more than we sailed. It was a nice trip, though, but the channel approaching from the Sea to Stellendam was quite long and tiring. After passing the lock right in front of the marina we were rewarded Read More
North Sea
Today the White Witch sailed all the (short) way from IJmuiden to Scheveningen. Since we had to go all the way downwind the trip was a bit tiring but apart from that very nice and relaxing. The marina in Scheveningen is completely crowded since the North Sea Race takes place this weekend. We are enjoying Read More
Entering the North Sea (From Amsterdam to IJmuiden)
Finally the White Witch has arrived at IJmuiden, at the end of the Noordzeekanaal and the “beginning” of the North Sea. From Lelystad to Amsterdam
After passing the Markermeer (coming from Lelystad) we arrived in Amsterdam where we finally found a little suitable marina for our overnight stay. The trip from Lelystad to Amsterdam was a nice one with some stronger winds and some rain. We reefed and unreefed some times but the strong winds we expected did not occur.

I want to keep these personal entries in this blog rather short, though, since the purpose of this website is to entertain. Read More
Not Much to Report from Flevo Marina

Tomorrow the white Lady will take them back to Urk where she will stay Read More
Just to Thank Someone…
Krrrrrrrraaaaaaassssssss! With many of our works we had to finish on the White Witch we had wonderful support of a good friend of us: Harry König, artist and metal architect. Whether it was/is about anything metal, planning and cutting the new brass panels, constructing some mast steps for the works at the top of the Read More
