A New Witching Season!

I’ve been meaning to write for some time now, but laziness and other work got in the way and kept postponing it šŸ™ But at last, here we are.

So after a very wet winter with massive waves, floods and strong winds hitting the south-west coast of the UK, Ā the Witch has seen no damageĀ  and is very much alive and ready for a whole new season of sailing and adventure.

Her first trip of 2014 was back in March when Damian and Pontus came to visit and we sailed to wonderful Salcombe for the weekend. Being her first sail in months, a few things went wrong; we had a stuck impeller that lead to a not-working engine, no navigation lights for a while and to top it up we ran out of cooking gas. But in the end all these were solved and it was a great first trip of the year, which incidentally seems to have brought the beginning of spring too as many sunny days have followed since then.

The guests were great, Salcombe was beautiful on a sunny sunday morning, and so the sailing season began in 2014!

And because today is Easter day, Happy Easter Everyone!
